MAX – ERC Gulzar Memorial Bridge Tournament- 2022 Begins The inauguration ceremony of MAX - ERC Gulzar Memorial Bridge Tournament- 2022 was held on Thursday at ERC Conference Room, IEB, Dhaka. Bangladesh Bridge Federation organized the tournament in collaboration with Engineers Recreation Centre (ERC), Dhaka. Reputed engineering conglomerates MAX GROUP is patronizing this national-level tournament as the Title Sponsor. Eminent sports organizer and social activist Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman, MAX GROUP & Executive Vice-Chairman, ERC, Dhaka, graced the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest. Engr. Md. Shahadat Hossain (Shiblu), PEng., Honorary General Secretary, IEB, Engr. Saeed Ahmed and Mr. M. A. Quddus attended the event as special guests of honor. Engr. Dewan Mohammad Hanzala presided over the program. Among others, Engr. Khan Ataur Rahman Shantu, ERC General Secretary, Engr. Md. Sanaul Haque Bakul, etc. dignitaries were also present. During his speech, Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir announced that a dedicated room will be allocated in ERC, Dhaka to spread the bridge game in Bangladesh. There, both ERC and Non-ERC members will get the opportunity to play bridge regularly.
A total of 132 players are participating in this bridge tournament spreading into 12 teams and 30 pairs. This 5-day tournament will be held from 01-03 September and 09-10 September 2022 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. On September 10, 2022, the final competition will be held and prizes will be distributed among the winners.
